Welcome to
DEP-ANON

A 12 Step Fellowship for FAMILY and FRIENDS of the Depressed.

Who This Is For

Depression doesn’t just affect the person living with it, it touches everyone close to them.

If your life has been touched by a loved one’s depression
whether you’ve carried it quietly for years,
or you’re just beginning to face it

If you feel helpless, confused, angry, or exhausted

If you feel guilty for needing space,
or for admitting that their pain affects your own well-being

If you’ve tried to “fix” your loved one
and feel like you’re failing or disappearing in the process

This space was created for you.

Who We Are

This space was inspired by Hugh S.’s book, Dep-Anon: A 12 Step Recovery Program for Families and Friends of the Depressed

DEP-ANON Family and Friends is a 12 Step support group for those affected by someone else’s depression.

We’re not therapists, or clinicians, just people who care, and who know how it feels trying to support someone we love who is depressed.

We gather for shared reflection, emotional recovery, and connection.
This helps us reconnect with ourselves, the foundation of all our relationships

What You’ll Find Here

  • A welcoming space grounded in shared experience, not advice-giving

  • Tools for emotional recovery and self-reflection

  • A way to reconnect with your own needs and voice

  • An invitation to begin your own 12-Step journey, no pressure, just presence
